RJ Harris put UFC’s heavyweight division on notice earlier tonight (Sat., July 18, 2026) at UFC Oklahoma LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as the Octagon newcomer stunned Alvin Hines with a vicious first-round TKO (punches). This matchup of Harris and Hines was the only heavyweight fight on the card, but it didn’t carry all that much buzz. Most likely due to Hines coming off a suspension and Harris being completely reserved during fight week, fans had little to go on. Most were hoping for a classic heavyweight knockout and a classic heavyweight knockout they got. After some early exchanges, Harris was able to find his range and unloaded a filthy upper cut inside that lifted Hines off his feet and sent him crashing to the canvas. It wasn’t quite as gnarly as Francis Ngannou’s upper cut punch against Alistair Overeem, but it was pretty sick. At the very least, it’s an early odds-on favorite to win Performance of the Night.
