Chase Hooper made it look easy earlier tonight (Sat., July 18, 2026) at UFC Oklahoma LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as the Octagon veteran captured his ninth UFC win with a first-round submission (rear-naked choke) over Mitch Ramirez. This was a big fight for Hooper after losing his last two UFC fights by way of knockout. The 26-year-old was on a five-fight win streak before that and appeared to be hitting his groove. Saturday was a chance for Hooper to find his footing again and knock off a fighter in Ramirez who was desperate for a win of his own. It didn’t take Hooper long at all before closing the distance and scoring a nice takedown. Ramirez tried to reverse it, but Hooper is as savvy as they come and was able to transition to his back. From there, Hooper worked for a way to finish the fight, which came in the form of a rear-naked choke just over a minute into the fight.
