In 2012, Rwanda launched the Butaro Cancer Center of Excellence to fill the gap in cancer care services. Since then, it has treated over 18,000 individuals, greatly enhancing local healthcare. The center plays a crucial role by establishing vital diagnostic programs and training healthcare staff.
