He paid $30 for a painting that sold for $1.35 million

At a recent estate sale, a man bought a Gertrude Abercrombie painting for only $30. Upon confirming its authenticity at an exhibition, he opted to auction the piece. Titled Alderman Merriam's Shells, the painting was anticipated to sell between $150,000 and $250,000.
