A ROOKIE cop has been hailed a hero after stopping an armed suspect who allegedly stabbed him in the neck as he tried to flee. Constable Wesley Thomas, a married father of two young children, had only been a police officer for 10 weeks when he heroically Tasered the alleged knifeman in Brisbane.
