Young great white sharks moved from their nursery habitat during Tropical Storm Hilary. Researchers tracked twenty-two sharks using acoustic tags to observe their movements. Many sharks left the area and returned within weeks after conditions improved. The storm caused a significant drop in sea-surface temperature, affecting the sharks. This study offers new insights into marine species' responses to extreme weather events.
