The two Lightweights traded low kicks and feints to start the bout. Hooker is committed to attacking the lead leg, whereas Paranasse is kicking at all levels more often. Parnasse checked a kick and stepped forward with a left hand that connected well. Out of nowhere, a Parnasse body kick hurt “The Hangman!” He jumps on his wounded opponent, blasting him with a high kick that pinned Hooker to the fence. Another clean left hand straight to the jaw sealed the deal, sending Hooker to the canvas in a heap. Is this the best UFC debut of the year?
