As a result, both Red Bull and Visa Cash App Racing Bulls will have new driver lineups this weekend. Stepping in for Hadjar at Red Bull will be current VCARB driver Liam Lawson. This will be Lawson’s second stint at the senior team, after he began the 2025 season at Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen. His time at Red Bull lasted only a handful of races, before he was dropped down to VCARB in a driver switch with Yuki Tsunoda. Speaking of Tsunoda, he gets the nod to step in for Lawson at VCARB alongside Arvid Lindblad. Tsunoda — who is rumored to be in the running for an IndyCar seat next year — is a reserve driver with the team. This is also the second time that Lawson has stepped into a seat at the Dutch Grand Prix due to injury. At Zandvoort during the 2023 season Daniel Ricciardo suffered a wrist injury of his own while driving for VCARB, when he hit the wall during practice. Lawson replaced Ricciardo after that accident, and finished in P13 despite having just one hour of practice time. The 2026 Dutch Grand Prix gets underway later this week, with three practice hours of practice ahead of Saturday’s all-important qualifying hour.
