Jordan Burroughs made the most out of his trip overseas earlier today (Sat., Sept. 5, 2026) at RAF Moscow from inside Arena Mytishchi in Moscow, Russia, as the former Olympic gold medalist dominated Magomed Kurbanaliev via tech fall and then proceeded to call out current UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev to a showdown on the mats. Burroughs, who is one of the most decorated U.S. wrestlers competing under the Real American Freestyle (RAF) banner, was expected to handle business this weekend in Russia against Kurbanaliev. The 38-year-old was already coming off a technical fall win over UFC contender Sean Brady last month so his momentum was soaring ahead of RAF’s trip to Moscow. Without missing a beat, Burroughs crushed Kurbanaliev from the opening bell. The 2012 Olympic gold medalist looked spry on the mats as he collected multiple takedowns to begin the match en route to earning a tech fall to win 10-0. There was never a moment in which Burroughs wasn’t in control, which left the Russian crowd frustrated. After the match, Burroughs took to the microphone to talk about his win and issue another callout to Makhachev, who is fresh off a UFC title defense against Ian Machado Garry back in August.
