(Photo by Josh Hedges/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images) Ramazan Temirov might just be the biggest puncher UFC’s flyweight division has ever seen as the hulking striker stunned former title challenger Steve Erceg with a brutal first-round knockout earlier today (Sat., July 25, 2026) at UFC Abu Dhabi LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Temirov, who was coming off a year away from fighting following a failed drug test back in July 2025, had Erceg fans worried heading into Saturday’s co-main event. While Erceg is one of the most savvy veterans on the UFC flyweight roster today he is a fighter who often leaves himself open for strikes. This was going to cause immediate issues against a one-punch finisher like Temirov, especially if “Temurlan” was able to get going early. Erceg seemed ready and willing to exchange from the opening bell, but he quickly found out that’s a death wish against the ferocious Temirov. After a few moments of back-and-forth action Temirov was able to find a home for a huge right hand that connected flush and knocked Erceg down. Erceg was able to get back to his feet, but Temirov was there for relentless strikes and power punches. Erceg kept getting clipped, but a final right hand sent him faceplanting to the canvas along the cage and officially spelled an end to the contest.
