Seems like every time BKB changes the game, somebody swoops in behind them to take credit. Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) claims history will be made for Amanda Serrano’s return on Aug. 21, which airs exclusively on TikTok. “The Real Deal” battles Lucrecia Manzur with the unified WBA and WBO women’s featherweight titles up for grabs. “A constant pursuit of disruption,” Paul wrote on Twitter. “While they all do the same, we create new lanes that they follow.“ It appears Paul and Co. did some following of their own. BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing recently launched a first-of-its-kind partnership for bare knuckle boxing (and sports in general) with TikTok, streaming its BKB 55 preliminary card on June 27 from Cardiff, Wales. The BKB 55 live feed scored the highest watch time of any sports platform ever in the history of TikTok live sports. For an encore, BKB will repeat the process with its BKB 56 prelims this Sat. night (July 18) from Los Angeles. “Our partnership with TikTok has exceeded every expectation,” BKB CEO, David Tetreault, told MMAmania.com. “It introduced bare knuckle boxing to a massive new audience and showed what’s possible when a combat sports promotion fully embraces digital platforms. As the first combat sports organization to partner with TikTok, we also delivered the most-watched live sporting event in the platform’s history. Most importantly, we put BKB in front of tens of millions of people who had never seen our product before.” BKB also registered five times higher engagement than traditional boxing on TikTok. Up next for Tetreault and BKB is BKB 56 from inside The Novo at LA Live in Los Angeles, featuring boxing royalty like Victor Ortiz, Jojo Diaz, and Alfredo Angulo, among others. The July 18 lineup airs at 7 p.m. PT on VICE TV (US & Canada) and talkSPORT (UK and Ireland). For more bareknuckle boxing news and notes click here.
