Bilal Hasan followed up his viral Contender Series knockout with another incredible finish earlier this morning (Sat., Aug. 29, 2026) at UFC Shanghai LIVE on Paramount+ from inside the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai, China, as “IndoNinja” crumbled previously undefeated opponent, Nilson Rojas, with a second-round knockout. While Saturday’s early morning card was built around the main event matchup between top bantamweight contenders Umar Nurmagomedov and Song Yadong many fight fans were tuning in to see how Hasan fared in his official UFC debut. The undefeated flyweight prospect looked so incredible on the Contender Series just two weeks ago that UFC matchmakers had to add him to this weekend’s return to China. Boy did it pay off. Hasan, who entered UFC Shanghai a massive betting favorite, was dialed in from the opening bell. It may not have been the 45-second stoppage fight fans saw two weeks ago, but “IndoNinja” quickly showed why his hype is warranted. Rojas did enough to stick around into the second round, but that’s when his luck ran out. Hasan eventually timed a perfectly-placed right hand that stuck Rojas and immediately put him down for the count. It was beautiful.
