In 1966, retired art teacher Helene Plotkin bought a painting for less than $100 at a thrift store in New York. Nearly 60 years later, the work was identified as an FCB Cadell painting. After her son researched it and AI helped decipher the signature, the artwork sold for £189,200 at auction in Edinburgh.
