Nagaland film 'Angh' earned a direct route to the 2027 Academy Awards. It won the Platform Prize at the Toronto International Film Festival 2026. This win allows 'Angh' to enter the Oscar race independently. The film depicts the last chief of an abandoned Indigenous Naga village. Its cinematographer also received a TIFF Variety Artisan Award for his work.
