Jamshedpur FC have confirmed they will not participate in the 2026–27 Indian Super League season after opting not to pay the ₹55 lakh participation fee under the new club-led model. The former ISL Shield winners said they will continue supporting grassroots football, while honouring existing player and staff contracts. Meanwhile, Inter Kashi paid most of their fee before the extended deadline.
