Headlining the Paramount+-streamed event will be a Lightweight fight between Dan Hooker and high-profile Octagon newcomer, Salahdine Parnasse. You can label Hooker Mr. Dependable. “The Hangman” has taken on all comers whether they are lower ranked, top contenders or dangerous debutants. When UFC needs someone to step up, Hooker is the man. Currently ranked No. 12 at 155 pounds, Hooker currently finds himself on a two-fight losing streak; however, those defeats came at the hands of Arman Tsarukyan and Benoit Saint-Denis, two super dangerous top-shelf Lightweights. During his time with the promotion, he has amassed a record of 14-10 with big wins over Gilbert Burns, Jim Miller and Paul Felder, just to name a few. Still, Hooker has been unable to go on a monstrous run to put him into championship consideration and is pretty much leaning on the gatekeeper role at the moment. And that’s just fine for Hooker, who will take on anyone when the time comes (as long as the bag is proper, of course). In this fight against Parnasse, he has the chance to ruin a much-anticipated debut and prove to the combat world (and himself) that he has a lot left in the tank and that he isn’t ready to roll over for anyone. In one of the most-anticipated debuts in some time, Parnasse is ready to make his mark inside the Octagon after spending the majority of his combat career under KSW’s banner, where he reigned supreme as the promotion’s 155-pound champion, racking up a record of 14-2 with nine stoppages. More recently, he participated in the first-ever Most Valuable Promotion’s (MVP) event earlier this year, destroying Kenneth Cross via first round knockout (recap here). The knock on Parnasse has been the level of competition he has faced. Obviously, all the best fight under UFC’s banner, so this is now his chance to prove any doubters wrong after initially rejecting a big UFC offer back in 2024. As we have seen in the past, however, many fighters look great in the minors, but can’t seem to swing the bat once they step up to the plate in the “bigs.” Taking out someone as experienced and tough as Hooker in his first fight will be a great way for him to start his UFC career off on the right foot and get a rankings spot right away. Original Card Vs. Actual Card/Injuries: A Featherweight bout between Nathaniel Wood vs. Mairon Santos was scheduled for the event before Santos was forced to withdraw because of an undisclosed health issue and was replaced by promotional newcomer, Pavel Andrusca. New Blood: Undefeated (8-0), Andrusca makes his UFC debut just five years after turning professional. Seven of his wins have come by way of stoppage, with five of them coming in the very first round, so he is all about getting in and out to take care of business. He will face off against Wood, a long-time UFC veteran who is scorching hot with four straight wins. Kicking off the event will be UFC newcomer, Delphine Benouaich, facing off against Sofia Montenegro. Benouiach is just 2-2 in her last four fights, so it was a bit confusing to see her get a shot with UFC, though it’s understandable since she is from France and adding as much local flavor to the event as possible is a smart thing to do. Montenegro will also be making her UFC debut despite the fact that she lost her fight on the Contender Series via split decision back in Sept. 2025. Another fighting Frenchman will be making his UFC debut on home soil as Matthieu Duclos takes on Luis Felipe Dias. Duclos has one fight under Bellator MMA’s banner (a loss) in 2022, and came up short in his bout on Contender Series two years ago. Undeterred, he kept chugging along and has won four straight to earn a shot. He will battle Dias, who is on a four-fight win streak and made a successful UFC debut of his own by knocking out Yi Sak Lee in the first round this past May (see it here). On the heels of seven straight wins, Fabia Sintes will get his chance to impress on the biggest stage when he goes up against fellow UFC newcomer Michael Aljarouj, who is also unbeaten in his last seven contests. Both of these men are talented prospects, and unfortunately one of them will get off to a rough start to his UFC career while the other will take a big leap forward. How The ‘Prelims’ Look: Mario Pinto has been nothing short of impressive during his short run with UFC. After earning his way to the promotion thanks to a first round knockout win on Contender Series, he racked up three straight wins to kickoff his UFC career in the span of 12 months. Now, he will face the biggest test of his career so far as he battles long-time veteran, Ryan Spann, who has been under UFC contract for eight years now and on a two-fight win streak. This is a great fight to see if Pinto can get over that big hurdle, while “Superman” has the chance to steal his shine and momentum. In Light Heavyweight action, hard-hitting contenders Oumar Sy vs. Modestas Bukauskas will throw down in a bout that is sure to produce fireworks. Sy is coming off a submission loss to Ion CUtelaba, dropping his UFC record to 3-2. As for Bukauskas, he was last seen defeating Christian Edwards via split-decision earlier this year. Klaudia Sygula got off to a rocky start to her UFC career after losing to Melissa Mullins in 2024. Since then, however, she has won two straight and is eyeing her third straight against Nora Cornolle, who is going the opposite way with two straight defeats. Who Needs A Win Badly: After two torturous years on the sidelines riddled with injures and self-reflecting issues, Trevor Peek is ready to get back into the swing of things. He has not competed since losing a unanimous decision to Yanal Ashmouz in 2024, his second straight loss. Overall he is just 1-3 in his last four fights inside the Octagon, so when you couple that with the mental anxiety he has been going through while rehabbing his injuries ahead of his comeback, a win is of the utmost importance for him to get right. He will face off against Kurtis Campbell. who could use a big win himself after throwing up a dud in his UFC debut earlier this year, losing to Danny Silva via knockout (see it here). Interest Level: 6.5/10: Sola has a big opportunity in just his fourth fight inside the Octagon as he gets his first co-headlining duties. He only has one loss on his resume and that came in his second fight inside the Octagon. He has eight stoppages in his 12 wins, so he knows how to get after it. As for Ziam, he was scorching hot with six straight wins inside the Octagon before running into Tom Nolan a few months ago, who defeated him via unanimous decision. Now, Ziam wants to reclaim that winning feeling again; however, it will be tough to do because Sola is as tough as they come. Michael Page seems to have found his footing inside the Octagon after winning three straight fights, but he still doesn’t feel that he is getting the love from fight fans (nor the organization). He has always been one of the best fighters in the game, and one of the most entertaining, but it seems what he had at Bellator hasn’t exactly transition into the Octagon. Nevertheless, he is out to prove to the world exactly what he does inside the cage as he goes up against Nursulton Ruziboev, who is 5-1 inside the Octagon, on a three-fight win streak. Overall, he is 13-1 in his last 14 fights so he is as hot as anyone at the moment. This is his chance to lock down a huge win over an established veteran, while Page is looking for a big win to climb the rankings, whether he remains at 185 pounds or gets the chance to go down to 170. One of my favorite fights of the night is Punahele Soriano taking on Daniil Donchenko at Welterweight. Both men are scorching hot at the moment, as Soriano has won four straight fights after suffering back-to-back defeats in 2023. As for Donchenko, he is on a seven-fight win streak, which includes winning his first three fights inside the Octagon. In another fight between two men coming off losses, Morgan Charriere and Felipe Lima will collide in a pivotal fight at 145 pounds. Charriere has alternated wins and losses since making his UFC debut in 2023 to the tune of a 2-3 record. If the pattern hold, he is due for a win here, tough Lima isn’t about to let it happen so easily. Lima was last seen losing to Payton Talbott via unanimous decision, his first loss in over a decade, “Jungleboy” only has two defeats, so losing consecutive fights isn’t something he wants to get accustomed to. Losene Keita vs. Muhammad Naimov will kick off the main card in an intriguing Featherweight bout. Keita was unable to capitalize with a win in his UFC debut against Nathaniel Wood, losing a razor-thin split decision. Now, he will attempt to get back into the win column in what will be another tough test against Naimov, who is also hungry for a win after losing to Mairon Santos via knockout late last year.
