And fair enough, you shouldn’t have to – especially when you can get an electric toothbrush that’s just as good for almost a quarter of the price. Right now, Currys has up to 40% off some of its bestselling products, which includes a whopping £200 off this Oral B iO6 electric toothbrush. Yup, that means it’s just £99 – woah. It’s not quite as fancy schmancy as the Dyson number – in that it doesn’t have a built-in camera or water flosser – but it does make for almost as good of a brushing experience. The iO6 can be connected to an app on your phone so you can track your brushing habits over time. You’ll want to do that, because the brush uses an AI-powered interactive brush display to tell you whether you’re brushing too hard (a red light), too softly (a white light) or just right (a green light). Not to mention, the app will tell you if you’ve missed any areas of your mouth, so you can get up to 100% cleaner teeth and gums versus a manual toothbrush. Don’t worry, though, your brushing tips will be tailored to your tooth type, as there are five modes to choose from: daily clean, intense, sensitive, whitening, and gum care. The Oral B app will also remind you when it’s time to replace your toothbrush head, which is a lifesaver if (like me) you’ve been known to go up to six months before realising you need to get a new one. Although the battery isn’t quite as good as SURI’s one month offering, it’s still enough to not have to worry about charging it too often, as the charge lasts up to 14 days. That makes it perfect for travel, as you can simply pop it in the included travel case to take on your hols – and you won’t even need to remember the annoying bathroom travel adaptor rules.
