Former UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev returned to action earlier today (Sat., Sept. 5, 2026) at RAF Moscow from inside Arena Mytishchi in Moscow, Russia, needing under two minutes to steamroll former UFC champion Tyron Woodley via pin. Combat sports fans were a bit confused about this weekend’s RAF Moscow event and how to actually watch the action, but the one certainty was that Chimaev was going to put on a show atop the card. “Borz” is always dangerous on the mats, but since coming off a title loss to Sean Strickland back at UFC 328 Chimaev was looking to re-establish his dominance as quickly as possible. Unfortunately for Woodley, he was the next guy standing in his way. Khamzat, who made his RAF debut this past June against Dillon Danis and ended up in a post-fight brawl (see it HERE), needed less than two minutes to completely dominate Woodley. While Woodley is 44 years of age and nowhere near his prime he was coming off his own RAF debut win last month against UFC contender Joaquin Buckley. Nobody really thought Woodley would pull off an upset, but fans were expecting a little more fight from “Chosen One.” At the end of day, Chimaev was too big, too strong, and too technical for Woodley to do much of anything. “Borz” secured the pin in the opening minutes and that was all she wrote.
