Raj Kundra revealed he bought Rajasthan Royals in 2009 as a Valentine's Day gift for Shilpa Shetty, spending Rs 81.9 crore for an 11.7% stake, now valued at Rs 16,000 crore. He called it IPL's largest single cheque investment then. Kundra was later banned for betting allegations in 2015, though he maintains his innocence.
