SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA - AUGUST 22: Gregory Rodrigues of Brazil prepares to face Anthony Hernandez in a middleweight fight during the UFC Fight Night event at Golden 1 Center on August 22, 2026 in Sacramento, California. (Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) staged UFC Sacramento yesterday (Sat., Aug. 22, 2026) inside Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., which saw Gregory Rodrigues defeat Anthony Hernandez via unanimous decision in the headlining bout(recap here). In the co-main event, Vitor Petrino defeated Serghei Spivac, also by unanimous decision, while Reinier de Ridder got back in the win column with a first-round destruction of Roman Dolidze (see it here). Winner: Gregory Rodrigues Who He Should Face Next: Caio Borralho After his big win, Rodrigues called for a showdown against Driccus du Plessis, but I just don’t see that fight happening next since “DDP” would likely eye a bigger name. I would also do Joe Pyfer (No. 4) against Brendan Allen (No. 5) next, so it leaves Borralho (No. 6) as the next best step. Borralho was last seen defeating Reinier de Ridder this past March and would be a great challenge for the big man they call “Robocop.” Winner: Vitor Petrino Who He Should Face Next: Valter Waker Don’t look now, but Petrino is making a nice run for himself after collecting his fourth straight win in the thin Heavyweight division since making the move up a little over a year ago. He will crash the Top 10 this coming week, so I wouldn’t mind seeing him face off against another streaking big man in Walker, who has won five straights fights via first-round submission. Winner: Reinier de Ridder Who He Should Face Next: Winner of Menifield vs Baraniewski “The Dutch Knight” snapped his two-fight skid with a dominant win over Roman Dolidze in his return to the Light Heavyweight division, though I don’t know if his win will be good enough to land him in the Top 15. That said, it did not stop him from calling out Khalil Rountree Jr. and Navajo Stirling, two men ranked in the Top 10. Instead, he will likely get someone ranked outside of the Top 10, so the winner of the upcoming bout between Alonzo Menifield and Iwo Baraniewski — who are set to throw down next month at UFC 331 — could be in order. Winner: MarQuel Mederos Who He Should Face Next: Chris Padilla rematch Mederos kept his four-year unbeaten streak intact last night by knocking out Mason Jones in the second round (see it again here). He is now 4-0-1 inside the Octagon with his lone blemish coming against Chris Padilla earlier this year after they fought to a draw. Interestingly enough, Padilla got back on track last night, as well, by defeating Nasrat Haqparast on the “prelims.” Let’s have them run it back so they can settle their unfinished business. Winner: Carli Judice Who She Should Face Next: Dione Barbosa After stumbling out of the gates with a loss in her UFC debut, Judice has now won four in a row, including her first-round knockout win over Jeisla Chavez last night. “Crispy” will likely need a couple more wins before she cracks the Top 15, so a fight against Barbosa sounds about right. Barbosa is fresh off a win over Anna Melisano in July, her second straight win. For more UFC Sacramento results, coverage and highlights click HERE.
