Arman Tsarukyan was back to his winning ways earlier today (Sat., Aug. 1, 2026) at the Hype Armenia grappling event in India as the UFC lightweight contender easily stopped Indian fitness influencer Ankit Baiyanpuria in the main event. In case you missed it, Tsarukyan tasted his first combat sports loss in over four years earlier this month when he was defeated by Colby Covington at RAF 11 (highlights HERE). Before that, Tsarukyan was making a killing on the wrestling scene with multiple wins under the Real American Freestyle (RAF) banner. Saturday was another chance for the talented UFC lightweight to prove his worth on the canvas and get back into the win column before he shifts all of his focus back to MMA. As expected, Tsarukyan completely dominated this affair. That’s probably because his opponent, Baiyanpuria, is a bona fide fitness instructor. He really had no business being inside the same ring as Tsarukyan, but fight fans have seen crazier things over the years. Tsarukyan needed just three minutes to score a slamming suplex and an eventual armbar submission to hand Baiyanpuria a loss in front of his home crowd. Earlier this week, it was reported that Tsarukyan will meet Charles Oliveira in a rematch atop UFC 331’s card this September though the “BMF” title is not expected to be on the line.
