Karimul Haque made a promise to his dying mother; years later the ‘Bike-Ambulance Dada’ became a lifeline for more than 6,500 patients and a lesson in compassion for his sons

After losing his mother, Karimul Haque made a promise to deliver medical care to those in need. He ingeniously converted his motorcycle into an ambulance, dedicating decades to transport over six thousand five hundred patients from isolated villages to hospitals. Trained by doctors, he offers essential medical support during critical situations, which led to him receiving the esteemed Padma Shri award in 2017.
