A transformative upland restoration initiative in Cumbria has brought new life to a sheep-grazed fell, with native trees being planted to stimulate the recovery of dormant seed banks and form enchanting ghost woodlands. This environmental project has witnessed the arrival of eleven new breeding bird species since 2016.
