LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - NOVEMBER 01: Sedriques Dumas reacts after a submission loss against Donte Johnson in a middleweight fight during the UFC Fight Night event at UFC APEX on November 01, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC) Sedriques Dumas is no longer an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter. Indeed, the oft-troubled nine-fight Octagon veteran has been removed from UFC’s active roster, meaning he has either been released from his contract or the promotion decided not to re-sign him. MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz was first to report the news. Dumas (10-5) initially punched his ticket to UFC by scoring a 47-second submission win on season six of Contender Series after going undefeated on the regional scene. However, his UFC run never really got going. After stumbling in his Octagon debut, getting submitted by Josh Fremd, Dumas bounced back with consecutive unanimous decision wins. That momentum did not last long, though, as he was knocked out by Nursulton Ruziboev in the first round in his next appearance (watch highlights). “The Reaper” would score one more UFC win, defeating Denis Tiuliulin, but ended his promotional run by losing three straight fights, with a “No Contest” also mixed into that stretch. Dumas also repeatedly found himself in trouble outside the cage during his time with UFC. Most notably, in April 2025, he was arrested on multiple charges, including felony home invasion robbery with a firearm, misdemeanor battery and felony possession of a weapon by a convicted felon (more details here). That arrest led to Dumas being yanked from UFC 311 because a Florida court-ordered ankle monitor limited him to a 100-mile travel radius. For what it is worth, the 30-year-old has reportedly been arrested 15 times since 2014. Dumas exits UFC with a 3-5-1 record inside the Octagon and plenty of controversy attached to his name.
