The event, set for October 3rd, 2026 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, has been listed on the UFC’s website as TBD vs. TBD for weeks now. Reports that the UFC was struggling to sort out a potential interim light heavyweight title fight abounded. It was looking like the promotion might have to just promote it’s co-main event featuring Valentina Shevchenko vs. Natalia Silva into the main event spot. Now, in a crushing blow to the card, we’re learning that Valentina Shevchenko has been forced to withdraw from the card with an undisclosed injury. The news was initially reported by Brazilian outlet Ag. Fight on Tuesday afternoon. Since then the UFC has pulled Shevchenko vs. Silva from their website. That leaves UFC 332 with no titles on the line. The current top fight at the card involves former bantamweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Payton Talbott in a battle at the back of the top ten rankings. 🚨👀 Dans White confirms the main event for UFC 332 will be announced THIS WEEK. Flyweight champ Joshua Van fights at UFC 331, while bantamweight champ Petr Yan and featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski fight at UFC 333. Lightweight champ Justin Gaethje’s hands are too jacked up to fight. Welterweight champ Islam Makhachev just fought at UFC 330. Middleweight champ Sean Strickland is dealing with a shoulder injury, while light heavyweight champ Carlos Ulberg is recovering from knee surgery. Heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall isn’t expected to return until November. On the women’s side, Mackenzie Dern just fought at UFC 330, Valentina Shevchenko just announced she’s injured, and Kayla Harrison is still recovering from a neck injury. That leaves the UFC without much to work with. We’ll keep you updated on what gets booked.
