This is a collision of two of boxing’s brightest young stars, and there’s genuine bad blood here to boot. In his last appearance Garcia captured the belt by smashing Mario Barrios in a one-sided decision victory. The question with Garcia, of course, is whether or not he can perform at a high level consistently. Benn, meanwhile, is searching for his first title win. He’s riding high after two major decision victories over Regis Prograis and Chris Eubank. This will also be his second bout since leaving Matchroom and Eddie Hearn in favor of Zuffa Boxing.
