The lone fighter transported was Alberto Montes. Montes (11-2) was taken to the hospital for a precautionary CT scan of his head, face and nose following his brutal technical knockout loss to Tommy McMillen in the UFC Oklahoma City main card opener (watch highlights). “The Promise” had his four-fight win streak snapped in the loss and suffered the first defeat of his UFC career. Prior to UFC Oklahoma City, the 32-year-old shined in his Octagon debut earlier this year when he strangled Ricky Turcios unconscious at UFC 326 (watch highlights). Unfortunately, things went very differently against McMillen. At this time, Montes’ scan results have not been publicly disclosed. It is normal for UFC to transport fighters to the hospital for precautionary reasons, especially after fighters are involved in damaging three-round battles, suffer nasty knockouts or sustain injuries that need additional evaluation.
