Hayden Panettiere pictured in 2022 Hayden Panettiere’s ex-boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother, Zach, were both at the late actor’s apartment when she died over the weekend, according to a newly-released – and heavily-redacted – incident report by the Greenville Police Department. The responding officer was on scene at 1:58 pm on Sunday, about 30 minutes before Hayden was pronounced deceased at 2:32 pm, at the age of 36. “I spoke with Zach Hickerson first,” reads the report. Zach reportedly told the officer that his brother and Hayden were dating. A large section of the incident presumably about Zach’s recollection of the afternoon is redacted, ending with the text: “They then called 911.” Brian’s interview with the officer is also similarly heavily redacted, with the report reading: “I spoke with Brian and he advised me [redacted]. He advised [redacted]. They then called 911.” The police report described Zach as “very emotional” while emergency medical technicians were working on Hayden, while “Brian did not become emotional until EMS declared her officially deceased”. On Monday, the Greenville County Coroner’s Office said that Hayden’s autopsy showed no signs of trauma that would have contributed to her death, but didn’t speculate about the cause of death. “The cause and manner of death remain pending further investigation and the completion of additional studies,” the office said. “This investigation remains active and ongoing. No further details are available for release at this time.” Hayden was best known for her work in the TV series Nashville and Heroes, as well as her performance in two films in the Scream franchise. Following the news of her death, several of her co-stars and those who knew her have been paying their respects in emotional tributes, remembering her as an “amazing talent” and “an incredible light and force of nature”. She is survived by her 11-year-old daughter, Kaya.
