Filmmaker SS Rajamouli is directing a time-travel adventure film titled Varanasi. Mahesh Babu will portray Lord Rama in a Ramayana-inspired battle sequence. This episode will feature Lord Rama fighting the giant Kumbhakarna. The movie's plot involves an archaeologist searching for an ancient cosmic artifact. Varanasi is scheduled for a theatrical release in April 2027.
