Michael Bisping is finally getting top billing. The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion and current color commentator will take on his first leading role in Atlas King, an upcoming action thriller scheduled to hit Digital and On Demand on Aug. 21, 2026. Bisping plays Atlas King, a former mixed martial arts (MMA) legend who returns home to attend the funeral of his closest friend, Dutch. Unfortunately, the trip drags “The Count” back into the violent criminal underworld he worked so hard to escape. Check out the official trailer that arrived today (Weds., July 15, 2026) below: Here is the official synopsis: Mixed martial arts legend Atlas King returns home for the funeral of his closest friend Dutch, only to be pulled back into the violent underworld he tried to escape years ago. The fight game is now ruled by ruthless crime boss Clay Emerson, whose iron grip threatens to wipe out the last remnants of Dutch and Atlas’ former empire and seize total control of the city. Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. plays the villainous Clay Emerson, while The Walking Dead and Prison Break star Sarah Wayne Callies portrays Penelope. George Finn rounds out the main cast as Tommy, Dutch’s hot-headed son and an underground fighter determined to continue his father’s legacy. Atlas King was written and directed by Nika Agiashvili, who also serves as a producer alongside Bisping and Finn. The trailer features underground fights, gun battles, a high-stakes heist and plenty of opportunities for the UFC Hall of Famer to crack some skulls. Bisping is no stranger to Hollywood, previously appearing in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Triple Threat and the Den of Thieves franchise. However, Atlas King represents his first opportunity to carry a feature film as its leading man. Based on the trailer, he certainly looks comfortable doing it.
