Verity review – A second-rate copy of The Housemaid that does Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson no favours

The latest Colleen Hoover adaptation looks an awful lot like last year’s Sydney Sweeney-Amanda Seyfried smash-hit – but the results are decidedly less entertaining
