Andrew and Tristan Tate have been arrested (again). The controversial combat sports influencers have spent years battling the Romanian legal system following a slew of criminal allegations, including human trafficking, which resulted in jail time. Last year, the Tate brothers — who maintain British and American citizenship — were allowed to leave Romania for Florida after their travel ban was lifted, but their legal troubles followed them. There are currently multiple investigations into the Tate brothers open in the United Kingdom, including charges of rape and sexual assault. Those allegations resulted in their most recent arrest, which actually took place at a bare knuckle boxing event in Miami, Florida. Andrew Tate was scheduled to co-host the event alongside former UFC champion Jon Jones, who has served as the American face of Russia’s IBA Bare Knuckle Boxing promotion. Ahead of the event, the Tate brothers were taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service on a sealed warrant. UK police are seeking their extradition on multiple charges related to rape and sex trafficking. They are under investigation in Romania, the UK, and the US, though they have repeatedly asserted their innocence. As for the IBA bare knuckle boxing event, it’s expected to continue as planned with Jones in attendance. The card is headlined by former UFC Lightweight Slava Borschchev, who will throw down with former BKFC champion Elvin Brito in his first fight since being released by the UFC.
