Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray suffered a scary injury in the first quarter of the team’s Week 1 game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. He was taken to the medical tent and replaced by Carsen Wentz. Update: Murray has been ruled out for the game. Murray scrambled outside the pocket for a short gain when he was sandwiched by two Packers defenders. Murray walked off the field with the help of trainers, and seemed to have some troubles initially getting up. After being evaluated in the blue tent, he headed into the Vikings locker room. That’s secondary to concerns about his health after this collision. Packers defenders Javon Bullard and Lukas Van Ness laid the hit on Murray. He lost his helmet on the play and immediately went into fencing position. Bullard was called for unnecessary roughing on the play. Let’s hope Murray is okay. We’ll update this post as it develops.
