In 1973, Ontario teacher Hank Deverell built a bottle house in Redditt, Ontario, for his wife Myrtle’s growing doll collection. Using thousands of glass bottles, mortar and 1,750 hours of labour, the project grew into a tourist attraction. The property later became known for its bottle-built structures and Myrtle’s doll collection, drawing visitors from Canada and abroad.
