LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - MARCH 07: Caio Borralho of Brazil reacts to his win in a middleweight fight during the UFC 326 event at T-Mobile Arena on March 07, 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) Caio Borralho has wanted to fight Dricus Du Plessis for years. Even now that “DDP” is no longer Middleweight kingpin, Borralho is still chasing that fight. In fact, the No. 5-ranked contender Borralho flew all the way to South Africa to find “Stillknocks” if multiple social media posts are to be believed. “4 callouts, no answer,” Borralho wrote. “So I came to Johannesburg myself.” View this post on Instagram View this post on Instagram “Where is Dricus?” Borralho asks a statue in Johannesburg, South Africa. “Do you know where he is? No words from him. I was in Brazil, and now I’m here looking for Dricus … I just cannot find him. No response.” In fact, Borralho did receive a response in the comments. On both posts, Du Plessis commented to invite Borralho to come to his gym and spar in person. “Come to @cit_performanceinstitute then we spar we can record it if you want,“ Du Plessis offered in response. To which Borralho replied, “Stop being a little kid, just sign the contract bro.” Obviously, Borralho wants to get an official UFC bout booked and potentially make ground in the 185-pound division with a victory. Du Plessis, however, claims that no such contract has been sent and renewed his offer of a gym scrap. “What contract?” Du Plessis wrote back. “You actually think you’re in the conversation? Come to the gym I’m like a 30 [minute] drive from you, let’s see if you’re at least man enough to show up, we start at 9AM Friday.” Though his one-sided loss to Khamzat Chimaev was about eight months ago, Du Plessis remains unbooked. He was briefly rumored to face Brendan Allen in Miami, but “All In” wound up matched versus Edmen Shahbazyan instead. Of all the available contenders, Borralho makes more sense then most, though he could still be sidelined in favor of Allen or even Nassourdine Imavov. Either way, the Middleweight crown will be on the line when Khamzat and Sean Strickland face off next weekend at UFC 328. Both Borralho and Du Plessis want to be in the conversation for the next title shot, which requires another high-profile win for either man. Run it?
