(Photo by Carmen Mandato/Getty Images) | Getty Images A gunman was shot and killed at the White House Correspondents’ dinner Friday night (April 25, 2026) in Washington D.C., an event that was attended by both President of the United States, Donald Trump, and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO, Dana White. Complete details remain unknown at this time, but a gunman fired shots in the lobby of the Washington Hilton Hotel in an apparent attempt to get to Trump. This is not the first time violence has been used against the 47th President of the United States. Video footage surfaced earlier Friday night that seemed to capture the moment gunshots were fired from the lobby. Trump was on stage sitting next to his family when Secret Service rushed in to protect the President and inform him to get down. All of the event’s other attendees dropped down and hid behind the dinning room tables. Trump was eventually evacuated and brought to safety. Also in attendance was White, who is an open advocate for Trump and his conservative platform. White has attended multiple events in the past, including the 2016 & 2024 Republican National Conventions (see HERE and HERE). White was expected to sit at the Paramount Skydance table during Saturday’s event in D.C. Luckily, Secret Service and on-site law enforcement were able to intervene before any real violence could be done. The gunman was eventually shot and killed in the hotel lobby. Secret Service and Law Enforcement did a fantastic job. They acted quickly and bravely. The shooter has been apprehended, and I have recommended that we “LET THE SHOW GO ON” but, will entirely be guided by Law Enforcement. They will make a decision shortly. Regardless of that decision, the evening will be much different than planned, and we’ll just, plain, have to do it again. President DONALD J. TRUMP”
